General Description

Elevil 45 is a high-quality water-based adhesive, formulated to ensure rapid setting and medium-high viscosity. The adhesive film is flexible and cohesive, providing a secure and long-lasting hold.

This adhesive is ideal for bonding laminates both at room temperature and at high temperatures, complying with the requirements of the EN 204 group D2 standard.

Optimal Conditions of Use

• Glue, material and ambient temperature: 18-20°C
• Humidity: 60-65%
• Wood moisture: 8-12%

• Open time: 15-20 min (variable depending on temperature and humidity)
• Recommended pressure: 0.1-0.4 N/mm²

Pressing Times

How to use and useful tips

• Apply evenly with a spatula, roller or other suitable tool.
• The wood must be prepared and glued on the same day to avoid dimensional variations that could compromise the gluing.
• It does not cause stains on wood, but iron tools can react with the tannin in the wood (e.g. oak), generating black stains.
• Assemble the parts before the open time expires and press properly.
• If the back of the laminate has release agents, light sanding is recommended to improve adhesion.
• Avoid adding flours or other excipients that could alter the performance of the adhesive.
• If necessary, you can dilute with 1-3% water to adjust the viscosity.
• Do not apply at temperatures below +15°C to avoid reductions in bonding power.

Storage

• Store in a cool, ventilated place at a temperature not lower than +5°C .
• Avoid exposure to frost, flame or excessive heat.
• Mix well after long periods of storage.
• Shelf life: 12 months from date of manufacture if stored properly.
