GENERAL INFORMATION ELEFIX 204 is a contact adhesive based on synthetic resins in an organic solvent solution. It has medium viscosity, a medium open time, a high setting speed, and a broad adhesion spectrum. The adhesive line is flexible and offers good heat and water resistance, a resistance that can be increased by adding 5-10% Hardener 1032.

TYPICAL APPLICATIONS ELEFIX 204 is ideal for bonding:

• Decorative plastic laminates and metal sheets on wood and wood-based materials (particle board, plywood, MDF, etc.).

• Wooden, melamine, metal edges on wooden panels and similar materials.

• Chipboard, plasterboard, asbestos cement, mineral fiber and similar materials.

• Majolica tiles on concrete, plaster, wood or metal surfaces.

• Many types of rubber goods.

Note: Plastics require prior suitability testing.

TECHNICAL CHARACTERISTICS

• Nature: Synthetic resins based on polychloroprene in organic solvents

USEFUL TIPS FOR USE

• Mix thoroughly before use, especially if the product has been stored for a long time.

• Apply evenly with a notched trowel, brush or other suitable tool.

• Make sure surfaces are clean from dust, oils, greases or non-adhesive substances.

• After application, wait for the solvents to evaporate before joining the surfaces.

• Press surfaces firmly to ensure strong adhesion.

• Allow the pieces to rest before subjecting them to further processing.

• Close containers tightly after use to prevent solvent evaporation.

• If necessary, dilute with thinner 2904.

• Use in well-ventilated areas and take appropriate safety measures.

STORAGE Stored in its original closed packaging, in a temperate environment, ELEFIX 204 is stable for six months.
