ELE ISOFIX

Water-based acrylic fixative insulator.

MAIN FEATURES

Water-based sealer made with an acrylic binder. It penetrates deep into the wall, consolidating and fixing the surface, significantly reducing absorption and is easy to apply with a brush, roller, or spray gun.

FIELDS OF USE

It is particularly suitable as a fixative insulator for interior walls of homes and residential and industrial buildings. Suitable for preparing interior masonry surfaces with traditional and pre-mixed plaster that will subsequently be painted with water-based paints or wall enamels. Also ideal for fiber cement.

SUPPORT PREPARATION

To be painted, the substrate must be healthy, dry, clean, cohesive and seasoned, free from humidity stains, traces of grease, dirt, etc.

SEASONING OF MASONRY SUBSTRATES

The curing time for the substrate varies depending on the type of material used to prepare it. This interval is necessary for the substrates to reach an adequate level of carbonation. The curing time for interior substrates (including lime-based, cement-based, pre-mixed, civil, and restoration plasters) is approximately 30 days, while exterior substrates (concrete, fiber cement, and pre-stressed panels) require a minimum curing time of 90 days.

New INTERNAL support:

• Using a soft brush, remove any dust and loose plaster fragments, then level out any imperfections with paste filler or powder filler. Once the substrate is perfectly dry, sand and insulate the entire surface with a layer of ISOFIX. Once the surface is dry, apply two layers of interior water-based paint or water-based enamel.

INTERNAL support already painted:

• If the existing paint is well-bonded and not flaking, it is advisable to insulate the substrate with a layer of ELE ISOFIX. Once the surface is dry, apply two coats of interior water-based paint or water-based enamel.

• If the existing paint is not well anchored or is flaking, remove any loose parts by scraping or sanding, fill any imperfections with paste filler or powder filler, then sand. Once dry, sand and seal with a layer of ELE ISOFIX. Once the surface is dry, apply two coats of interior water-based paint or water-based enamel.

Substrate invaded by algae, mold and unsightly dark spots

• Treat the surface with a layer of RISANANTE (restorative solution for dirty and contaminated surfaces); wait at least 24 hours and then mechanically remove the black stains, then follow the instructions described above before proceeding with the application of the water-based paint.
