ELE SETAMAX SATIN

Satin acrylic wall enamel for interiors, easily stain-resistant, gives the surface a soft appearance.

MAIN FEATURES

Water-based, satin-finish interior wall enamel made from acrylic resins, gives the surface a soft, velvety appearance.
It is characterized by ease of application and quick drying. The film, due to its hardness and compactness, is highly resistant to stain penetration, preventing dirt and dust from being trapped and thus keeping the surface perfectly clean.
Approved according to the HACCP protocol for application in environments where food substances are stored, processed or served to the consumer.

SUPPORT PREPARATION

To be painted, the substrate must be healthy, dry, clean, cohesive and seasoned, free from humidity stains, traces of grease, dirt, etc.

SEASONING OF MASONRY SUBSTRATES

The curing time for the substrate varies depending on the type of material used to prepare it. This interval is necessary for the substrates to reach an adequate level of carbonation. The curing time for interior substrates (including lime-based, cement-based, pre-mixed, civil, and restoration plasters) is approximately 30 days, while exterior substrates (concrete, fiber cement, and pre-stressed panels) require a minimum curing time of 90 days.

Influence of the substrate on the durability of the colour:

Pretreatment, pH, and leveling of the substrate to be painted, especially in the presence of uneven surfaces, new patches, and/or fillers, can negatively impact the painting process and alter the color shortly after application. Unsightly white or colored stains may appear due to the reaction of the pigmented part with the alkalinity of the substrate. Uneven, non-homogeneous substrates can cause differences in color perception due to the different textures of the painted surface.

New INTERNAL support:

• Using a soft brush, remove any dust and loose plaster fragments, then level out any imperfections with paste filler or powder filler. Once the substrate is perfectly dry, sand and seal the entire surface with a layer of fixative or. Once the surface is dry, apply two layers of ELESETAPLUS SATIN.

INTERNAL support already painted:

• If the pre-existing paint is well anchored and not flaking, it is advisable to isolate the substrate with a layer of fixative or. Once the surface is dry, apply two layers of ELE SETAMAX SATIN Series 1202.

• If the existing paint is not well anchored or is flaking, remove any loose parts by scraping or sanding, fill any imperfections with paste filler or powder filler, then sand. Once dry, sand and seal with a layer of ELE ISOFIX or ACRYLIC FIXATIVE fixative. Once the surface is dry, apply two layers of ELE SETAMAX SATIN Series 1202.

Plaster and plasterboard support

• To ensure good paint adhesion, sand the filled panel joints before applying the primer. Both new and previously painted walls should be primed with a primer. Once the surface is dry, apply two coats of ELE SETAMAX SATIN.

Smoothed stucco support:

• The surface must be carefully sanded with a suitable abrasive disc. Once the operation is complete, it is recommended to thoroughly clean the walls of any residual dust. Fill if necessary, sand, and then it is advisable to seal the substrate with a layer of sealant. Once the surface is dry, apply two coats of ELE SETAMAX SATIN.

Substrate invaded by algae, mold and unsightly dark spots

• Treat the surface with a layer of RISANANTE (restorative solution for dirty and contaminated surfaces); wait at least 24 hours and then mechanically remove the black stains, then follow the instructions above before proceeding with the application of ELE SETAMAX SATIN. To avoid the re-formation of dark stains in a short time, ELE SETAMAX SATIN must be added with ADF.
